Austin Lifestyles is honest writing about actually living in Austin, Texas — the heat, the greenbelt, the cost of it all, eating at home, getting around, gardening in the clay. It is not a guide, not a directory, and not a “best of” anything. There are no rankings here and nothing for sale.
We pair that with one plain tool — Austin Life Math — that estimates what a year of the basics really runs here, assumptions shown. And every topic points to the Spring BBS, Austin's original online community since 1996, where the conversation actually happens.
